1. OVO Hydro — Opening Ceremony & Netball
Glasgow’s landmark 13,000-capacity arena on the Clyde will host the Opening Ceremony on 23 July — the first time in Commonwealth Games history that an opening ceremony will be held indoors. It will also host netball throughout the Games.

2. SEC Centre — Boxing
The Scottish Event Campus centre arena will host boxing throughout the Games. Sessions run from 24 July through to the medal events on 1 August, with bouts across multiple weight categories each day.

3. Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome — Cycling & More
Named after Scotland’s greatest Olympian, the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in the East End is one of the finest indoor cycling venues in the world. It will host track cycling and additional sports during the Games.

4. Tollcross International Swimming Centre
One of the best swimming venues in the UK and a proven Commonwealth Games facility from 2014. Tollcross will host aquatic events including swimming and para swimming throughout the Games.

500,000 tickets are available for Glasgow 2026. Tickets are sold via the official Glasgow 2026 website and Ticketmaster UK. Sessions are available for all sports with both standard sessions and medal events available.
🏨 Where to Stay for the Games
With no athletes’ village, Glasgow’s hotels will be busier than usual during the Games. Book accommodation as early as possible — especially around the opening ceremony on 23 July.

- City Centre: Buchanan Street area — excellent transport links to all venues
